- Blackboard Courses for SP07 request need to be
made for course copy by Dec.8. - Blackboard 7.1 is available for testing
- Bb 7.1 integration for Summer 2007 - New Features
Assignments. This feature is designed to replace
the buggy and unfriendly digital drop box. It
streamlines the process of creating assignments,
collecting assignment from students, grading and
providing feedback to students. Performance
Dashboard allows you to view when you students
last logged into your course, their discussion
board activity, viewing and overriding grades and
adaptive release activity (see below).
11New Features of Blackboard 7.1
Discussion Board Postings
12Blackboard 7.1 Features
- Course Statistics and Tracking allows you to
determine which parts of your Bb course have been
accessed, when they were accessed and by whom
they were accessed. - Adaptive Release allows you to customize and
personalize your course by making course content
available to individual users by user name, date,
test score or group. - Blackboard Messages. This feature is for those
instructors who would rather use an internal
e-mail system within the Bb course, rather than
relying upon student (and faculty) external
e-mail addresses. - Quick Tutorials

one semester of non-enrollment unless that
student has an incomplete or blank grade.

16Certification Course
- 11 Full Time Faculty Participated
- Comments from Participants.
-
- Having to complete this course on-line really
gave me an "eye-opener" re what my students
experience. I will be way more sensitive to
their situation now. The many resourses our
facutly and fellow students searched out and
introduced were extreemly helpful. The comments
of fellow faculty members who are way more
experienced than I using this meduim were also
excellent and very useful.
17More Comments..
- For me, the most valuable part of this course was
the exposure it gave me to Blackboard. I
learned just by attempting to post my materials
to my practice course or send them to my
instructors via the Digital Drop Box and
Discussion Board. - Sharing ideas with other instructors. Having
instructors who are genuinely interested in and
passionate about the topic!
18Tech Summit Highlight FA06
- It is hard to pick one best topic. This was
the best summit yet for giving me tools to create
learning opportunities for my students. I loved
the preview of Office 2007 etc. It was good to
see and helped me to feel comfortable with the
changes. Perhaps the best teaching tool was
learning to use Camtasia with PowerPoint to
create mobile files for my students to learn
"anywhere, anytime..."
