Direct Image Photogrammetric Measurement
  • The science of establishing the precise camera
    location and calibration for a given camera image
    to determine the 3D location of image pixels (US
    Patent 5,633,946).
  • An image pixel is a ray that begins at the focal
    point of the camera and is captured at the camera
    image plane.
  • The 3D location is determined by intersecting the
    rays from multiple images or can be determined by
    intersecting a single ray with a known ground
    plane.
