Status of Fire Station 7 Structural steel
is erected and decking is in place. Roofing will
follow in the next few weeks. Concrete masonry
installations are underway. Brick has been
delivered on site. The precast perimeter fence is
in place. Paving nears completion on the site and
is in process on Independence Pkwy. Mechanical
and electrical installations are ongoing.

Primary Issues on Fire Station 7 3 weeks
of weather related delays have occurred and have
pushed scheduled completion to January 2009. A
lost time accident occurred on site when a welder
climbing a masonry scaffold slipped and fell
approximately 6 feet.

Status of New Community Library Architectural
and Engineering plans were submitted to the City
for plans review and permitting. The
Groundbreaking ceremony occurred on July 15,
2008. The first furniture, fixtures and
equipment selection for library shelving has been
made and others are in process.

Status of the Municipal Courts Facility (formerly
Old Public Safety Building) Renovation The
building will house all Municipal Court functions
and supporting offices for the foreseeable
future. Initial demolition has begun and actual
renovations will commence the first of August
after Municipal Courts is relocated.

County Government Center A presentation was made
to City Council of the Interim Report on the
Programming and Master Planning. Further
direction from Council to the project team is
being awaited at this time prior to proceeding
with the project.

Status of Westin Hotel and Conference
Center The installations of building
foundations and grade beams are being completed
and the base of the tower crane has been
installed. The design team has issued a 100 set
of construction documents for plans review and
permitting, civil documents are still in
process. OS and Beck have been aggressively
pursuing value engineering options and
alternatives.
