Project Details

• The EMS-TEXTILE project commenced at January 2005
  and ended at 2007
• The duration of the project is 30 months
• The budget of the project is 650,000 Euro
• The maximum rate of co-financing from the Europe
  Intelligent Energy program is 50, meaning
  325,000 Euro

Project Objectives

• Increase of energy efficiency mainly in the
  Greek, Portuguese, Spanish and Bulgarian textile
  industries via the promotion of energy management
  practices.
• Application of energy management practices and
  conservation measures to the textile and to other
  industrial sectors
• Development of cooperation between textile
  industries of Mediterranean countries and between
  European bodies involved in Energy Efficiency
• Improvements in industrial management practices
  and in overall environmental performance

Project Activities

• Development of Energy Management Standard, Tools
  and Guidelines for efficient and easy
  implementation
• Provision of supportive services and creation of
  network cooperation between the key actors
• Information dissemination, workshops, training
  seminars, publications, web site database
• Exchange of know how and co-operation with other
  similar Intelligent Energy Projects
• Pilot implementations, case study presentations,
  improvement of project methods and practices
