League Breakdown
  • Leagues consist of either varsity high school
teams, junior varsity high school teams, or
    junior high school teams.
  • Leagues are separated based on levels of
    competitiveness.
  • Leagues usually contain between 8 and 12 teams
based on the average number of teams at each
    skill level.

3
Court Breakdown
  • Carmichael Auditorium (1 Large Court)
  • Dean Smith Center (3 Large Courts)
  • Fetzer Gym A (3 Large Courts)
  • Fetzer Gym B (2 Large Courts)
  • Woolen Gym (8 Small Courts)
  • Other courts if necessary (example local high
    school gyms)

4
Scheduling Constraints
  • Each varsity high school team must play in
    Carmichael Auditorium at least once.
  • Only varsity high school teams are allowed to
    play in Carmichael Auditorium.
  • Each team must play in the Dean Smith Center
    twice.

5
Scheduling Constraints Cont.
  • Junior varsity high school teams and junior high
school teams can only play in the Dean Smith
    Center twice.
  • Varsity high school teams have priority over
large courts once all teams are scheduled in the
    Dean Smith Center twice.
  • Each team must play at least once in each of the
    nine sessions during a camp.

6
Scheduling Constraints Cont.
  • If a team must play twice in one session to
guarantee that each team in a league plays once
in each session, the team playing its second game
must have at least one game period to rest
    between games.
  • There must be at least a 90 minute interval
between the last game of one session and the
first game of the next session for each team.
