Practical Crime Prevention Advice
  • Lock away valuables and equipment
  • Lock doors, cupboards, desks when an area/office
    is vacated or left unattended for any length of
    time.
  • If you have a locker, use it.
  • Regularly check that all windows and door locks
    are in working order.
  • Never put yourself at risk - call for assistance.
  • Make sure patient records and all other sensitive
    information are kept secure.
  • Remember certain equipment can be very attractive
    to thieves, e.g. mobile phones, lap tops etc.
  •

Practical Crime Prevention Advice
  • If your car has an alarm, use it.
  • If you have a steering wheel lock or other
    security device - use it.
  • When driving be aware of what is happening around
    you especially at traffic lights and road
    junctions and keep your doors locked.
  • Try to recognise ploys to stop your car, dont
    stop, call the police
  •  

Never leave any items on view in your car. Lock
them in the boot. Whenever practical, always
park in such a way as to drive away easily. Try
to park in a well lit, busy area.

Estates Facilities Communication Flow Chart
PLEASE NOTE All Requests/ jobs in Health Centres
must be reported via the Health Centre
Administrator or other PCT admin function. This
includes all estates facilities functions e.g.
domestics, telecoms, pest control. All issues
must be reported to the main contact point as
indicated any override of the system will
automatically be referred back to the start
point. Unsatisfactory outstanding issues may be
referred to the 2nd Contact after a reasonable
working time has elapsed. In order to manage the
service it is requested that the Helpdesk is
notified on completion of jobs.

  • Incidents - Untoward/unexpected event
  • Accidents - Incidents that result in loss or
    injury
  • Clinical Incidents - That is either of the above
    occurring during or because of treatment
  • Unexpected Death
