CETIS SIGs Remit
  • 1. represent UK arguments on the development of a
    specification
  • 2. track all standardisation efforts in the
    particular area
  • 3. test and evaluate any released specification,
    hopefully using real life examples
  • 4. disseminate their work widely across UK HE and
    FE

  • Hold free quarterly meetings, with presentations
    and discussions.

  • Dynamic Stylesheets Customising the User's
    Experience. Mick Wood will talk about the issues
    regarding dynamic stylesheets.
  •  Breaking down Barriers and Bridging the Gaps.
    Sue White from the Virtual College will give a
    presentation on the Virtual College's experiences
    in making web-based content accessible.
  • The NoVA (Non-Visual Access) Report. Jenny Craven
    from CERLIM (Centre for Research in Library and
    Information Management), will give an overview of
    findings from the NoVA Report, which examines the
    issues regarding making library and information
    services accessible to people with visual
    impairments.
