• Robert Gallagher of the University of Pittsburgh
  surveyed counseling center directors and 65
  reported a growing demand for services without an
  increase in resources
• 83 of directors feel that there are greater
  numbers of students who are experiencing severe
  psychological problems
• There are more students who come to school on
  medication or who require medication in addition
  to counseling
