BMAS

• The British Medical Acupuncture Society is a
  registered charity established to encourage the
  use and scientific understanding of acupuncture
  within medicine for the public benefit

Membership

• Health professionals who are subject to statutory
  regulation
• Includes doctors, dentists, physiotherapists,
  nurses, midwives, health visitors, osteopaths,
  chiropractors, and podiatrists
• Veterinary surgeons are also welcomed as members,
  although the BMAS has a close working
  relationship with the ABVA (Association of
  British Veterinary Acupuncturists)
• The Acupuncture Association of Chartered
  Physiotherapists (AACP) is an affiliated body to
  the BMAS
