Who is a Certified Athletic Trainer?

TYPICAL DAY IN A COMPETITIVE SPORTS SETTING
  • A typical day for an ATC in a competitive sports
    setting may include the following tasks
  • Prepare athletes for practice or competition,
    including taping, bandaging bracing
  • Assess injuries to determine their management
    possible referral
  • Develop conditioning programs
  • Implement treatment rehabilitation programs.
  • These duties require extensive knowledge strong
    decision-making skills obtained through the ATCs
    experience education.
