    connecting to US 93.

    its design, right of way, construction and
    operation have been fully funded.
  • Specific alignment and environmental issues to be
    addressed in future location / design /
    environmental studies (funding affects timing)
  • Eliminate Sun Valley Parkway and Eagle Eye Road.
  • Routes inside the PM-10 nonattainment area were
    eliminated in the previous resolution.

Federal Designation
  • The CANAMEX Corridor is one of 43 national
    corridors identified in ISTEA, the 1995 National
    Highway System Designation Act and TEA-21 as high
    priority corridors.
  • Section 1105 of the National Highway System
    Designation Act specifies the CANAMEX Corridor to
    run from
  • Nogales, Arizona, through Las Vegas, Nevada, to
    Salt Lake City, Utah, to Idaho Falls, Idaho, to
    Montana, to the Canadian Border.

Federal Designation
  • In the State of Arizona, the CANAMEX Corridor
    generally follows
  • (i) I-19 from Nogales to Tucson
  • (ii) I-10 from Tucson to Phoenix and
  • (iii) United States Route 93 in the vicinity of
    Phoenix to the Nevada Border.
