Existing Assessment Process

• Happens within Investigation page
• Utilizes 3 SDM tools
• Safety Appraisal
• Protective Capacities / Priority Needs
• Future Risk of Abuse Neglect (FRAN)
• Required for every Investigation with a finding

Existing Assessment Process

• Case assigned w/ screened-in PSR
• Initial Contact with victim/family
• Worker assesses safety in the field
• May find children safe, write Care Safety Plan
  or remove child(ren)
• Creates Investigation in ORCA

• Completes Protective Capacities / Priority Needs
• Completes FRAN
• Writes Investigation Contact Notes
• Makes findings
• Writes summary, submits for approval

  capacities and first two pertinent assessment
  questions
• May write Initial Safety Analysis Plan

• 6 pertinent assessment questions including 15
  safety threats
• If threats, completes Safety Intervention
  Analysis and Continuing Safety Analysis and Plan
• Writes Investigation Contact Notes
• Makes findings, writes summary

  restructure to Protective Capacities

• populates with diminished capacities instead of
  priority needs
• User can copy detail from Safety Intervention
  Analysis to pending Case Plan

• Investigation
• Remap Investigation Summary Results tab and
  template - remove Safety Appraisal FRAN data
• Required for approval
• Instead of Safety Appraisal, FRAN, PC/PN
• Safety Assessment, Protective Capacities
• If Safety Assessment identifies Safety threats,
  then Safety Intervention Analysis and Continuing
  Safety Analysis Plan template are also required

• SDM Reappraisals (In/Out of Home)Must be
  reworked or removed as they depend on the FRAN
• Case Closure page eliminate the Check here if
  closing SDM Reappraisal is not needed checkbox
