BattPack
  • Dismounted Soldiers can be expected to carry as
much as 40 pounds of batteries to support
    mission-essential equipment
  • Portable, rechargeable power wherever a Soldier
    needs it
  • Built for the field water resistant, shock
    vibe-proof, EMP protected
  • Capable of
  • Jumpstarting military vehicles
  • Recharging military vehicle batteries /
    recharged from a military vehicle
  • Powering standard 28 VDC Military electronic
    equipment
  • Accepts wide range AC or DC for recharge, from
both civilian and military power sources
  • Multiple units can be interconnected to boost
    power energy storage
  • Meets two-person lift-and-carry requirements

11
Rapid Prototype . . . Concept to Warfighter
  • Adopted a Systems Engineering approach to
    define turret subsystems
  • No Lockheed Martin hardware on the turret
  • Used the LMUK INSYS Rapid Prototyping
capability to build the LM WFLIP turret
    demonstrator and integrated key subsystems
  • 33 weeks to live fire
  • 52 weeks to manned firing (Exceeded Warrior SRD
    Objective Accuracy Requirement)
  • Assembled a world class supply chain and brought
    world class partnering skills Worked
    interactively to reduce interface issues
  • Matured and integrated the WFLIP Electronic
    Architecture
  • Developed a high fidelity dynamic simulation to
optimise system performance and conduct trades
  • Modeled WR Base Overhaul Process to demonstrate
how the planned upgrade could be incorporated
into the Warrior Base Overhaul process

  • Light Forces are the First Ones Sent to the Point
of Action. Their Equipment Must be Deployable and
    Flexible.
  • Squad Mission Support System (SMSS) is Designed
to Give Units a Highly Transportable, Mission
Configurable System That Will Ease the Burden of
    the Soldier.
  • The SMSS can Carry Ammunitions, Weapons,
Explosives, Heavy Equipment (Such as Additional
Robots), Medical Supplies, and Camouflage, Cover,
    and Concealment Materials.
  • Sling Load UH-60, V-22, and CH-47 Transportable.
  • The SMSS Will not Change a Units Missions or its
Tactics. It Will Enhance its Ability to Execute
    Both.
