Final thoughts
  • Monitoring waste reduction properly is expensive
    and requires a longer period of time to confirm
    impact
  • Long term funding for campaigns is essential
  • Acorn marketing tool not entirely
    representative of behaviour towards waste
  • Too early to tell with confidence if waste has
    reduced in Dorset pilots.
  • Reduction campaigns must be ongoing to have a
    continuing impact
