Growth will bring benefits
  • From 1993, the Danish Government invested over
    1.3bn its wind industry.
  • They now have a global market share greater than
    50 and annual revenues are 2.7bn.
  • The Carbon Trust reported in 2006 that by 2030
    the marine renewable domestic and export market
    could be worth between 300m and 900m.
  • In 2004, the Scottish Executive Harnessing
    Scotlands Marine Energy Potential report
    predicted that 7000 direct jobs could be created
    in Scotland.
