Title: Rescue Me

1
Rescue Me!
  • Cat up a tree

2
The situation
  • A good Samaritan who lived on the south side of
Columbus heard a crying sound from a very tall
    tree.

3
The challenge..
  • There was a huge orange tiger kitty stuck about
    50 feet up the tree.

4
As the day turned into night and into day again
  • Contrary to popular belief, the fire department
does not rescue cats in trees.
  • Many tree trimming services will attempt the
    rescue, for a fee.
  • This poor kitty spent four days 50 feet up this
tree waiting for help as his human friend tried
to find someone, anyone who would get the kitty
down for a price she could afford.

5
  • The good Samaritan called the Capital Area Humane
    Society.
  • While the Cruelty Investigators worked to locate
help, the good Samaritan's cat kept a vigil at
the base of the tree, meowing encouragement.

6
A Hero to the Rescue
  • An incredibly compassionate tree trimmer
volunteered his services. His bucket truck was
out of service, so Wolf Thierschmann went up the
    tree.

7
What goes up.
8
wants to come down!
  • Our scared kitty needed no encouragement he
climbed onto Wolfs shoulder and held on for the
    ride down.

Call my agent
  • Wolf and our kitty gave a media interview, glad
to be back on solid ground.

12
  • The kitty was dehydrated, hungry, and had
abrasions on his gums from trying to eat the tree
    branches and leaves.

13
Im sooo tired
  • Our kitty recovers at the Capital Area Humane
Society. He slept for almost two days straight
recovering from his terrifying ordeal. He was
fed small amounts of food frequently to avoid
making him sick after his five days of no food or
    water.

14
The Human/Animal Bond
  • Guess who wants to adopt our kitty? Our good
samaritan tree trimmer, Wolf! He plans to name
    the kitty Lazarus.

15
A Generous Offer..
  • Next time you need a helping hand, call Tree
Master at (614)866-0686. Wolf says he is happy
to help cats in similar situations, for a very
small fee which he will donate to an animal
    welfare organization.
