us to get partial results and compare them with
    exactness, relevance and validity
  • At this moment, we present partial results, cca.
70 of obtained data from respondents, i.e. 693

  • pay attention to the rate of objectivity
respondents were still afraid about possible
results of this research in spite of assurance
    that the research is anonym

Analysis respondents answers on selected
questions without taking sex into account

job towards to a respondent and his position in
his family this question predict with subjective

    times 4,01

20
Enclosures from comparison of published
statistical data of countries
  • The share of long-term unemployed is in Slovakia
the highest amongst all OECD countries
  • compared with the number of long-term unemployed
    at economically active age
  • as well as to the total number, out of which more
    than 50 are long-term unemployed).

21
Enclosures from comparison of published
statistical data of countries
  • For comparison
  • latest research (July 2006,Eurobarometer 65 )
related to the National Report on Slovakia,1 078
persons, is showing some interesting results
  • 88 of citizens are tied to the city/village
where they live and to the own country
  • 61 of citizens has a certain relations to
    Europe
  • only 43 of citizens of Slovakia has a positive
relationship to the European Union, which is
    indicating low-pro-european attitudes

22
Enclosures from comparison of published
statistical data of countries
  • The major problem for Slovaks is unemployment
current rate 17,2 (for 61 citizens)
  • The second major problem is the economical
    situation (for 33 citizens)
  • The third major problem is the system of health
    care (for 31 citizens)

23
Continuous results confirmation of the
hypotheses
  • Unemployment in Slovakia does have certain
    typical features
  • High rate of long/term unemployment
  • Mainly amongst young people until the age of 24
years and people over 50 years
  • Relatively high regional difference from the
point of view of available labor posts

24
Continuous results confirmation of the
hypotheses
  • Results from questionnaire research, concentrated
on the unemployment area within the context to be
(Slovak Republic) a member of EU ( ZONTA from
    October 2005 till June 2006, 236
    employed/unemployepeople from southern Slovakia)
    showed that
  • 1. From questions of the questionnaire related to
orientation to Europe and pro-European feelings
as significantly important appeared the question
related to the feeling of belonging to Europe
within the employed group of persons as
significantly higher, compared with the rest of
    the research sample.

25
Continuous results confirmation of the
hypotheses
  • 2. Integration of Slovakia to the European Union
in connection with the economical development of
the country, possibilities of employment, amount
of remuneration, further education and quality of
study was perceived more positively within the
    employed research group.
  • 3. At the same time are women more pessimistic as
concern the possibility to find work/employment
in Slovakia, but also as concern worse real
remuneration in Slovakia, compared with the past.

26
Continuous results confirmation of the
hypotheses
  • 4. Gender differences and the problematic of
family are more expressive within the unemployed
    research group.
  • (for example to the question oriented to a
possibility to work abroad within some of the EU
countries for a period longer than one year,
without the family, is for the majority of the
    unemployed research group not acceptable).
Further what concerns the leave of the family for
a longer period of time because of a job in
abroad, majority of women wouldn't do it.

27
Continuous results confirmation of the
hypotheses
  • 5. Within the group of questions connected with
    attitudes towards security, work satisfaction,
work evaluation, rights, foreigners and migrants,
the majority of the unempl. research group is
perceiving less security in Slovakia. Equally
they are not feeling to be happy with the work,
nor with her financial remuneration, they are
thinking that they have less opportunities to do
work, which would be in accordance with their
capabilities and education and they are feeling
to be more vulnerable towards people from other
EU countries, as regards the threaten of
    traditions.

28
Continuous results confirmation of the
hypotheses
  • Overall summary
  • In total, within the employed research group
there are overall more optimistic attitudes
    towards individual questions
  • As more significant appears the "strong" link
between the economic and work themes of questions
    within the employed research group
  • Also certain gender differences have been proved
(prevailing are gender stereotypes within women)

29
Continuous results confirmation of the
hypotheses
  • At the present time we are doing basic
statistical data classification and evaluation of
    obtained results
  • This presented information have only informative
and illustrative character and can vary from
complex results we will present in the closing
statement of the project. They will be present
also in graphical and table expression and will
be compared together with the use of relevant
    factors
  • We hope, that adequate interpretation of the
results will help to improve woman position at
the Labour Market within Slovakia and will be
impulse for partners organization in abroad
