• The first pet gerbils came from the Mongolian
  Desert, where they lived in underground burrows.
  Some gerbils are agoutis which are the same
  sandy color as wild gerbils.

• A male gerbil is about 4 inches high and weighs
  about 4 ½ oz. Gerbils stand on their hind legs to
  get a better view of their surroundings. Although
  gerbils are desert animals, they need a little
  bit of fresh water.They must always have a supply
  of fresh water.

• A gerbil is a mammal. Gerbils eat grains,
  seeds, hay, fresh fruit and vegetables and some
  raisins. A gerbils home is a burrow. How long is
  a baby gerbil? Well they are ¾ inch long.
  Gerbils may have four or five babies. A bobcat is
  a gerbils enemy.
