Life Cycle
  • Mate once a year between January/June
  • Find own den to line with leaves or woodchips
  • Nine weeks after mating has 1 to 8 babies
  • Babies stay in den for 8 to 10 weeks
  • Mom teaches them to eat/protect itself
  • Live 15 years in captivity, 5 years natural
    habitat
