Biomes are places that have plants and animals living together.
The climites are different every year they can be 10 degrease high than it was a year before.
3 Types of biomes. 4 Arctic Tundra
The warmest it can get there is 10 degrees Celsius.
The plants there are low growing.
Polar bears live there.
5 Coniferous Forest
The tempeture in the coniferous forest is between 31-55F .
The plants are tall and are located in Canada and the USA.
6 Deciduous Forest
Deciduous forests are found in the North America There are many deciduous forests in Asia.. South America has two big areas of deciduous forests in southern Chile and Middle East coast of Paraguay.
The average annual temperature in a deciduous forest is 50 F. The average rainfall is 30 to 60 inches a year.
American Beech Carpet Moss Common Lime Guelder Rose Lady Fern Northern Arrowwood Pecan Shagbark Hickory Tawny Milksap Mushroom White Birch White Oak.
American Bald Eagle American Black Bear Coyote Duckbill Platypus Eastern Chipmunk European Red Squirrel Fat Dormouse Least Weasel White-tailed Deer.
7 Deciduous forests 8 Grassland
Grassland biomes are large rolling terrains of grasses flowers and herbs. A grassland is a region where the average annual precipitation is great enough to support grasses and in some areas a few trees. The precipitation is so eratic that drought and fire prevent large forests from growing. Grasses can survive fires because they grow from the bottom instead of the top. The soil of most grasslands is also too thin and dry for trees to survive.
9 Tropical rainforests
The tropical rain forest is a forest of tall trees in a region of year-round warmth. An average of 125 to 660 cm of rain falls yearly.
Rain forests belong to the tropical wet climate group. The temperature in a rain forest rarely gets higher than 93 F or drops below 68 F the average humidity is between 77 and 88 rainfall is often more than 100 inches a year. There is usually a brief season of less rain.
Deserts cover about one fifth of the Earths surface and occur where rainfall is less than 50 cm/year. Although most deserts such as the Sahara of North Africa and the deserts of the southwestern U.S. Mexico and Australia occur at low latitudes another kind of desert cold deserts occur in the basin and range area of Utah and Nevada and in parts of western Asia. Most deserts have a considerable amount of specialized vegetation as well as specialized vertebrate and invertebrate animals.
There are relatively few large mammals in deserts because most are not capable of storing lots of cold water and arent able to stand the heat. Deserts often provide little shelter from the sun for large animals. Mammals are usually small like the kangaroo mice of North American deserts.
