  • junk mail
  • post-it notes
  • files
  • catalogs
  • slick paper
  • ream wrappers
  • tablets
  • paperback books
  • envelopes with plastic windows
  • packing paper
  • chipboard
  • stuff with staples
  • newspaper
  • notebook paper

What CANT go in paper
  • wax-coated paper
  • foil or foil-coated paper
  • plastic or plastic-coated paper
  • photos
  • napkins, towels, or Kleenex (snot goes in the
    trash can)
  • please no garbage, rubber bands or plastic
    (because we have to dig that out later)
  • no metal except small paper clips and staples.

Plastic
  • Pop bottles
  • Water bottles
  • Any plastic with the number 1 on it
  • No caps
  • Bottles must be empty! (Nobody wants your rotting
    leftover Mountain Dew.)

Aluminum
  • Pop cans
  • Energy drinks
  • Crushing not necessary but saves space
  • Empty! If its not empty and you want to get rid
    of it, pour the rest down the sink or get someone
    else to finish it.

When to recycle
  • Made too many copies, or accidentally ran off 100
    copies of the wrong thing
  • Cleaning out binders/lockers
  • After finishing your morning Monster and waiting
    for the buzz to kick in
  • Anytime you find yourself walking to a trash can
    with PAPER, PLASTIC, or ALUMINUM

  • Recycle!
  • Mixed paper in one bin, plastic and aluminum
    together in another
  • No lids on bottles, no sticky leftovers in
    bottles or cans
  • Walk that whole extra step to a recycling bin!
    You can do it!
