THE LIFE CYCLE OF A STAR
I agree we must stand strong and destroy the
stars.
Stars! Stars! Stars! Wheres my spotlight?
By Wasim
3
Stars start as a cloud of hydrogen formed in
nebulas. The cloud drifts through space.
The force of gravity pulls the atoms of hydrogen
together.
The pull of gravity becomes more stronger and the
hydrogen atoms fuse together which means stick
together forming helium.
With all the energy released the star heats up
and produces light. This is called nuclear
reaction.
The star then grows to a red giant and uses all
the hydrogen.
Then the star then becomes a white dwarf and then
4
RED GIANTS AND WHITE DWARFS Red giants are what
becomes of stars when they start to run out of
hydrogen. The temperature of the star rises and
it becomes larger. The star then collapses. It
then becomes a white dwarf which as time goes on
the star becomes cooler.
5
Do Stars last forever? Stars use hydrogen fuel
to produce heat and light. This hydrogen
eventually runs out and the star becomes either a
black hole or a white dwarf. If it becomes a
white dwarf it will eventually explode and there
will be no light or heat.
Dont worry our sun run out of light or heat for
another 5 billion years.
Are you be sure?
Astronomers believe the sun has gone through half
of its life and still has a long way to go
