M Kids Project

    learn in a safe and supervised environment

  • Located at the adjacent building to the church of
    Our Lady of Seven Sorrows at 1295 Yang Quan Road
  • Organize all weekday activities within the church
    compound
  • Overall project timeline start first session on
    May 14 and accumulate 5 months of experience by
    end Dec

  • Recruitment of volunteers
  • April Set up various sub-project groups and
    appoint leaders for each sub-group
  • Training of volunteers
  • Complete activities tool kits
  • Upgrade venue and purchase all necessary
    equipments for activities
  • May 14 Launch M Kids Project (after May 1 to 7
    holidays)
  • End June Committee meeting to review progress
  • July and Aug School holidays no activities
  • Sept 1 Resume M Kids Project

Outline of the Project Plan

Proposed Structure of the Weekday Session
  • Schedule for weekday classes
  • Monday to Friday, 3.30pm to 5.30pm
  • Daily schedule
  • 3.30 to 4pm registration/snack time/talking time
  • 4 to 4.45pm homework time (supervise all the
    kids to do their homework)
  • 4.45 to 5.30pm fun time kids are allowed to
    choose to participate in any of the activities
    offered
  • Weekly schedule
  • Homework time daily basis
  • Fun time activities - proposed 3 creative
    activities (mon, wed and fri) and 2 games (tue
    and thur) for each week need at least 1
    volunteer to run the activities
  • - reading/watching TV/board games can be
    offered on a daily basis and 1 volunteer will be
    in charge little help is needed from the
    volunteer once it has been set up
  • - sports to replace either 1 creative and/or
    game activities if we can find at least 2
    volunteers to monitor the session
  • Choice of fun time activities more ideas needed
  • Creative activities, including arts and crafts
  • Games, eg charade aim to build character or
    raise awareness
  • Sports, eg basket ball if we have more
    volunteers to help out

  • Watching educational TV programs

Weekly Timetable for the M Kids Club

Comments This structure is for discussion and
can be changed. Also it might have to be modified
through practice. Having TV on each session may
or may not be a good idea. Also some children may
have little homework or finish quickly.
