Indirect Object Pronouns
  • -interesar-
  • Allie G.

2
What does a pronoun do?
  • The purpose of a pronoun is to take the place of
    a noun.

3
Indirect Object
  • A person, or other noun, that is at the receiving
end of a verb is called the indirect object.

Ex.1 He hit Jill. Ex.2 I like to talk to Benny.
4
Indirect Object Pronouns
  • Indirect object pronouns are used to represent
the indirect object. They indicated to whom the
    action is occurring.

Ex.1 I was talking to him. Ex.2 I was going to
go with them.

Conjugating Interesar
  • Interesar is like any other ar verb except for
the fact that it is used with a indirect object
pronoun and it agrees with the subject of the
    sentence regardless of the pronoun.

Interesars verb chart would be the same as any
other ar verb. The only difference is that it is
dependent on the pronoun but only agrees with the
subject of the sentence.
The following slides are some examples of how
interesar is used.
7
Interesar
  • Interesar means to interest.
  • Indirect object pronouns must be used with
interesar to help get the point of the verb
    across.
  • It has many similarities to English

Ex.1 Bugs interest him. Ex.2 Colors interest her.
Bugs and Colors are the subjects of examples
1 and 2. The verb agrees with the subject.
8
En Español
  • Here are the same examples in Spanish
  • Ex.1 Los insectos le interesan.
  • Ex.2 Los colores le interesan.
  • The verb agrees with the subject, not the object.
