Safety Health
KCS has a systemwide K-8 student uniform policy,
a modified uniform policy at A.L. Brown High
School, resource officers, Safe Schools Plans,
and we conduct regular drills training.
There have been no serious injuries in KCS in
more than 10 years.

• KCS has eliminated junk food from our cafeterias.
  ALL snacks meet Winners Circle standards for
  fat, calories, sodium, sugar, carbohydrates
• Every school offers fresh fruits/ vegetables,
  salad bar, and low fat menu items

  goals for two years in a rowfar better than the
  state average of 75 and better than any
  surrounding school district.
