  • Have you ever thought about having a dingo as a
pet, well some people do today! I dont think I
would want one as a pet, dingoes are wild dogs!

3
Physical Characteristics
  • The dingo has a short hair coat usually but if
it lives in cold weather it it has a long coat of
hair. The dingo has sort of a reddish ginger hair
color, and a bushy tail. The dingo is about the
size of a regular size dog. Dingoes have very
strong claws and pointy ears. Just if you want to
know dingoes are about 50 centimeters tall and
    120 centimeters long.

4
Habitat
  • The dingo is found in all states of Australia
except Tasmania! Dingoes usually live close to
some source of water. A dingo lives alone or in
    groups.

Feeding
  • Dingoes are carnivores which means they are
meat eating animals. Dingoes prefer mammals.
Dingoes try to go after small food such as
rabbits, rodents, birds, and lizards. If they
have to dingoes will eat fruits and plants as
well. Over 170 types of animals have been
recorded in the dingoes diet, from insects to
    buffaloes.

6
History
  • Dingoes were brought to Australia at least
15,000 years ago by Aborigine people. The dingo
maybe related to semi wild dogs found throughout
    South East Asia.

    degrees, in each direction.

    Asia.

  • While learning about the dingo I learned a
lot, here are a few things I learned. The dingo
was not native to Australia they were brought to
Australia by Aborigine people. Also while
listening to some of my classmates talking about
their animal I found out that the dingo was
hunting animals like the Tasmanian Devil as well
as the Tasmanian Tiger. Since the dingo was
hunting them, and obviously they didnt like it
so they both swam over to Tasmania. So thats it
and I hope you enjoyed my PowerPoint about the
    dingo.
