Youth Programs
Smart Start Soccer Smart Start Soccer is an
instructional program for children ages three to
five, on Saturday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m.
The five-week program will be held Oct. 11, 18
and 25, and Nov. 1 and 8. Smart Start Soccer
helps parents work one-on-one with their child
to prepares him/her for organized soccer.
There will be a mandatory parent orientation
meeting on Friday, October 10, at 530 p.m. and
all participants must be registered on that day.

Worldwide Air Force Family Teen Talent Contest

Vance Air Force Base Youth Programs invites moms,
dads, brothers and sisters to sing, dance and
perform together in the Worldwide Air Force
Family and Teen Talent Contest. The Vance Air
Force Base contest will be held on Saturday,
November 15, 2008, at 5 p.m. in the Base
Theater. For more information and your copy of
the contestant handbook call 213-7166. To
register, stop by the Teen Center or call by
Monday, November 3.

  • Salaried/Exempt Provides mechanical design
    expertise for HVAC and plumbing/piping systems.
    Oversees various programs to determine
    replacement cycles for mechanical systems.
    Experience Required 4 years experience as a P.E.
    performing mechanical design with emphasis on
    HVAC. Experience Desired 5 years of design

  • Full-time Housekeeper, Cherokee Lodge
  • Performs all housekeeping work necessary to
    maintain officers quarters, guest house and
    lodging facilities in a clean and orderly

  • Part-time Attendant, Arts Crafts Center
  • Provides instruction technical guidance to all
    patrons using the Arts Crafts Center. Performs
    maintenance and repairs on machinery. Assists and
    advises customers concerning shop rules,
    procedures, and safety policies as required.
    Monitors and enforces policies. Evaluates
    customers capabilities for performing wood
    working task. Must possess or gain knowledge
    required to use and train patrons on all
    equipment in Arts Crafts Center. Must be
    proficient on the operation of computers, must be
    capable of operating computerized engraver, laser
    engraver and matt cutter. Responsible for cash
    collecting, inventory control, safeguarding of
    funds, and resale inventory. Performs other
    related duties as assigned.
  • Part-time Counselor, Youth Programs
  • Responsible for care of the children at the Youth
    Center and implementation of developmentally
    appropriate programs. Ensures the childrens
    physical, social, language, and intellectual
    needs are met while in their care. Must possess
    good physical health and be able to participate
    in all physical activities. Must participate in
    required Air Force training. Must complete
    requirements for State Criminal History Report
    Checks and National Agency Check w/ Written
    Inquiries (NACI). Performs other duties as
    assigned.

  • Prepares or cooks food to order at the Bowling
    Center snack bar. Maintains work area in clean,

    and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing
    with the public. Must be able to satisfactorily
