Genesis 4014-15 But remember me when it is
well with you, and please show kindness to me
make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of

Genesis 4020-23 Now it came to pass on the
third day, which was Pharaohs birthday, that he
made a feast for all his servants and he lifted
up the head of the chief butler and of the chief
baker among his servants. Then he restored the
chief butler to his butlership again, and he
placed the cup in Pharaohs hand. But he hanged
the chief baker, as Joseph had interpreted to
them. Yet the chief butler did not remember
Joseph, but forgot him.

When It Comes to Revenge We have to decide if
we want to do evil or destroy evil. But we cant
do both.

Romans 1217-21 (NLT) Never pay back evil with
more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone
can see you are honorable. Do all that you can
to live in peace with everyone. Dear friends,
never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous
anger of God. For the Scriptures say, I will
take revenge I will pay them back, says the
Lord. Instead, If your enemies are hungry, feed
them. If they are thirsty, give them something to
drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals
of shame on their heads. Dont let evil conquer
you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Genesis 5015,19-21 When Josephs brothers saw
that their father was dead, they said, Perhaps
Joseph will hate us, and may actually repay us
for all the evil which we did to him. Joseph
said to them, Do not be afraid, for am I in the
place of God? But as for you, you meant evil
against me but God meant it for good, in order
to bring it about as it is this day, to save many
people alive. Now therefore, do not be afraid I
will provide for you and your little ones. And
he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

When It Comes to Revenge We can either hold
onto the pain of the past or we can hold onto
the promises of God.  But we cant do both.

1219 (NLT) Dear friends, never take revenge.
