  • Most families in urban areas live in large
    apartments.
  • Unlike Western homes shoes are not worn inside
    the house.
  • In a traditional Japanese house, you don't sit on
    chairs or sleep on beds. You sit and sleep on the
    floor using cushions and futon bedding.

  • The "Bullet Train" is a high speed inter city
    train in Japan.The ride on the bullet train is
    like an airplane without the hassles.

  • Sumo sport where two wrestlers or rikishi face
    off in a circular area. The Sumo tradition is
    very ancient, and even today the sport includes
    many ritual elements, such as the use of salt for
    purification.

    food, with fish and vegetables forming the side

    from the sauce bowl. Make lots of noise.

Starting with a single sheet of paper, you can
fold to make animals, birds, flowers, and toys. 
Kendo Kendo is the ancient Japanese art of
sword-fighting. Students practice with bamboo
swords.

    and Sega and Sony are all made in Japan!

    here. He is very strong, his fingers turn into

    so he can fly. He rescues people in trouble.

  • In his first movie Godzilla went on a
    devastating rampage through Tokyo. Even though
    Godzilla died in the first movie, he came back
    for many, many more rampages through Tokyo.

  • Pikachu is the star of Pokemon.  Pokemon is
    short for Pocket Monster. Pikachu is a rare
    Pokémon with the ability to literally shock with
    his electric  personality and power.
