Motivation

• Provide open, unencumbered source of infrasound
  data
• Raise profile and encourage wider research
  community participation

Concept

• Sources of data
• Voluntary contribution from operators of any
  infrasound station, preferably via an automated
  system (eg AutoDRM)
• Organization of archive
• Data organized by event time series plus
  ancillary information
• Hosted at both GSC Ottawa KNMI De Bilt
• Data distribution
• Public website data available to any
  interested researcher via AutoDRM or a web
  interface in a wide range of formats

Current Status

• Prototype data server operational
• Running on Ottawa NWA mass store
• Currently populated only with I10CA data
• First meeting of GSC/KNMI technical staff July
  2002
• Work initiated on mirroring at GSC Ottawa KNMI
  De Bilt
• Work initiated on CSS3.0 support

• Before we commit further resources, need a clear
  buy-in from the infrasound research community
