  • CHILDHOOD
  • The rock star currently known as Tina Turner was
    born in the morning of November 26, 1939 in
    Brownsvilles Haywood Memorial Hospital.
  • Her birth name was Anna Mae Bullock.
  • Anna Mae was a country girl who grew up on a farm
    on Highway 19 in Nut Bush, TN.
  • Over Annas childhood she jumped from house to
    house.
  • At a young her mother and father left her and her
    little sister Alline alone.

    holes at the Navy Golf Club in Cypress, CA.

  • It was there that he began Basketball.
  • For college, Kareem went to UCLA.

    cornea in 1968.

  • While in UCLA he converted to Islam.
  • The Harlem Globetrotters offered him 1 million
    to play for them, but he declined.

  • In a preseason game in 1974 he broke his hand and
    scratched his left cornea again!
  • In 1983, his house burnt down.
  • In 1989 he got married to Janice brown, who
    changed her name to Habiba Abdul-Jabbar.

    began her broadcasting career.
  • At the age of thirteen she was sent to a juvenile
    detention home only to be denied admission
    because all the beds were filled.
  • She was sent to Nashville, TN to live under her
    fathers care.
  • Vernan Winfrey saw it fit for her daughter to
    have a midnight curfew, and he required her to
    read a book and write a book report each week.

  • Disaster struck in 1958 when on of Kings buses
    hit a gas truck Riley wasnt on bored none of
    the singers were seriously injured, but the bus
    driver was killed.
