23Never ending occupation
- One who wakes up with his whole attention
directed towards the world is cut off from God,
and God shall make four qualities to accompany
him

- Endless Sorrow
- never ending occupation,
- a neediness which is never relieved
- a hope which is never achieved.
25Where is the time?
- I knelt to pray but not for long
- I had too much to do.
- I had to hurry and get to work
- For bills would soon be due.
- So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
- And jumped up off my knees.
- My Muslim duty was now done
- My soul could rest at ease.

- To spread a word of cheer.
- No time to speak of Allah to friends,.
- No time, no time
- too much to do,

- That was my constant cry
- No time to give to souls in need
- But the time, the time to die
- I went before the Lord,
- I came I stood with downcast eyes.
- For in his hands the angel held a book

- The angel looked into his book and said
- Your name I cannot find
- I once was going to write it down..
- But just never found the time.

- Value youth before old age,
- health before sickness,
- free time before being occupied
- Wealth before poverty

- Life happens at the level of action,
- not at the level of thought,
- nether at the level of circumstance nor of
emotion. - "O Allah! Let us not be of those content to wait
and see what will happen, but grant us the
determination to make the right things happen." - prayer of Jalaluddin Rumi "

- Our lives are but part of a larger story.
- How do we contribute it?
- "Socialize with people in such a way that when
you die, they mourn for you and when you live,
they desire your company - Imam Ali AS."
32Hurrs dilemma Between Heaven Hell
- "I have never seen you so fearful. By Allah! If I
were to be asked who was the bravest warrior of
Kufah, I would say it is you!" - Hurr responded, "By Allah! I find myself between
Heaven and Hell, and I will not prefer anything
to Heaven even if I am cut into pieces and then
burnt!" Then Hurr raced his horse towards
al-Husayn and joined the small army of the
Imam.'
33You are Hurr A free man
- The Imam cleaned the blood from Hurr's face and
said, "You are Hurr (free man) as your mother has
named you. You are a free man in this world and
the Hereafter." (Nawasikh al-Tawarikh).
