ENG H191 Midterm 1

• MIDTERM WILL BE Monday, October 15th, during the
  regular class period
• The midterm will consist of five problems
  covering the five areas of study we have had so
  far this quarter.
• The time allowed will be one hour and forty-five
  minutes. (Be prompt)
• You should review problems 1 - 19 and the
  pertinent chapters in your textbook.

Orthographic Projection

• You may be asked to
• Given two views, sketch a third view
• Given three views (some incomplete), add the
  missing lines
• Given a pictorial view, sketch the orthographic
  views

Pictorial (Isometric) Views

• You may be asked to
• Given the orthographic views, sketch the
  isometric pictorial
• Given incomplete orthographic views, complete
  them by adding any missing lines, and sketch the
  isometric pictorial

Charts and Graphs

• You may be asked to
• Plot a graph of the given data (one or two data
  sets), calibrate and label the axes, and
  completely identify the graph with title
  information
• Possibly answer a question requiring
  interpretation of the graph you created

Modeling with Inventor

• You may be asked to
• Create a three-dimensional model from a pictorial
  or orthographic sketch using Autodesk Inventor.
• Label the sketch and print it. Remain at your
  seat we will retrieve the printed output
• No disks, USB devices, or reference books
  allowed. If you want to save your file
  temporarily, it should be saved to the N drive.

• Create a simple section sketch given the
  orthographic views, labeling the cutting plane,
  and using appropriate crosshatching
• Identify different types of section drawings
