As the Deer
  • As the deer pants for the water,
so my soul longs after you
you alone are my hearts desire
and I long to worship you.
  • You alone are my strength, my shield,
to you alone may my spirit yield
you alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship you.
  • Written by Martin Nystrom. c Maranatha! Music

7
  • I want you more than gold or silver,
    only you can satisfy
you alone are the real joy-giver
and the apple of my eye.
  • You alone are my strength, my shield,
to you alone may my spirit yield
you alone are my hearts desire,
and I long to worship you.

8
  • Youre my friend and you are my brother, even
    though you are a king
I love you more than any other,
    so much more than anything!
  • You alone are my strength, my shield,
to you alone may my spirit yield
    you alone are my hearts
    desire, and I long to
    worship you.

Ephesians 44-7, 11-13
  • There is one body and one Spirit, just as you
were called to the one hope of your calling, one
Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father
of all, who is above all and through all and in
all. But each of us was given grace according to
    the measure of Christs gift.

10
  • The gifts he gave were that some would be
apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some
pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the
work of ministry, for building up the body of
Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the
faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to
maturity, to the measure of the full stature of
    Christ.

  • Recognizing our
  • Licensed Lay Worship Leaders

12
  • One Members of the KO Presbytery, you have
heard the promises of this group. Let us affirm
our intention to recognize them as Licensed Lay
Worship Leaders among us. Will those who are
able rise and witness to the commitment we now
    make?

13
  • All We celebrate with joy that we will be
partners with you in the service of Jesus
Christ. We promise to love you, honour your
leadership, and assist you, that together we may
be a faithful church of Jesus Christ.

Exodus 171-13a
  • From the wilderness of Sin the whole
congregation of the Israelites journeyed by
staged, as the Lord commanded. They camped at
Rephidim, but there was no water for the people
to drink. The people quarrelled with Moses, and
said, Give us water to drink.

15
  • Moses said to them, Why do you quarrel with
me? Why do you test the Lord? But the people
thirsted there for water and the people
complained against Moses and said, Why did you
bring us out of Egypt, to kill us and our
children and our livestock with thirst?

16
  • So Moses cried out to the Lord, What shall I
do with this people? They are almost ready to
stone me. The Lord said to Moses, Go on ahead
of the people, and take some of the elders of
Israel with you take in your hand the staff
which with you struck the Nile, and go. I will be
standing there in front of you on the rock at
    Horeb.

17
  • Strike the rock, and water will come out of
it, so that the people may drink. Moses did so,
in the sight of the elders of Israel. He called
the place Massah and Meribah, because the
Israelites quarrelled and tested the Lord,
saying, Is the Lord among us or not?

18
  • Then Amalek came and fought with Israel at
Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, Choose some men
for us and go out fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I
will stand on the top of the hill with the staff
of God in my hand. So Joshua did as Moses told
him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron,
and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

19
  • Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel
prevailed and whenever he lowered his hand,
Amalek prevailed. But Moses hands grew weary so
they took a stone and put it under him, and he
sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one
on one side, and the other on the other side so
his hands were steady until the sun set. And
Joshua defeated Amelek and his people.
