• Fold fabric, right sides touching
• Place pattern near edge of fabric to conserve
  fabric

• Weigh down pattern with books
• Alternately you can pin pattern to fabric

• With sharp fabric shears, cut out pattern

• Separate two pieces of boxer shorts
• Place on counter colored side (right sides, or
  faces) UP

• Fold right sides together
• Pin ONLY inside leg seams (inseams) together

• Sew leg together, seam width 15mm (or 5/8 inch,
  or sew at the blue dot).
• Zig zag raw edges together

• Turn one leg right side out

• Fold legs so the U faces upwards
• One leg is still inside out..

• Slide the right-side-out leg into the other leg
• Good sides will be touching inside
• Pin the U all the way around

• Sew the U
• Sew it again to reinforce
• Trim the U seam to remove bulkiness

• Zig zag the new cut edge
• Stitches should look like diagram -?

• Both legs
• Fold, pin and iron the leg hems 1 cm
• Fold, pin and iron the leg hems 1 cm again
• Stitch hems straight and close to top edge
• Check the hems on your own jeans

• To make casing
• Fold, pin, and iron 1 cm down at waist
• Fold, pin, and iron 4 cm down at waistband
• Sew near bottom edge, leaving 10 cm open to
  insert elastic

• Use a safety pin to help guide elastic
• Thread elastic through casing
• Overlap ends and try on
• Sew ends of elastic together where waistband fits

• Sew 10 cm opening shut
• Stitch in the ditch

• Turn right side out
• Iron
