Circuit BreakersWireless USB Keyboard
  • Proposal Presentation
  • EE396

2
Team Members Roles
  • Kenneth Estores
  • Michael Manzano
  • We will both equally share the work.

3
Overview
  • The objective is to design and build a wireless
device that will be able to interact with a
    computer via the USB port.

4
Approach
  • Research how the transmitter and receiver
interacts with each other, and how the internal
parts work (i.e. antenna, RF chips, USB/Keyboard
    chips). And also order parts.
  • Break the project up into do able parts that will
allow us to debug the individual problems versus
one BIG problem at the end.
  • Get one switch working first, then build and
    improve from there.

5
Possible Problems
  • Not having an adequate knowledge and experience
    of data transmission
  • Running out of time

6
What We Expect to Learn
  • How digital data is transmitted using a receiver
    and transmitter devices.
  • Learn how the USB and RF chips work and how it
    encodes and decodes transmitted signals.
  • Learn more about microprocessors.
  • Gain experience on designing and building
    applicable circuits.

7
Goals
  • Have a working device that allows the user to use
a wireless controller to perform keyboard
    operations from a certain distance.
  • Use the least amount of money as possible.

8
Gantt Chart
  • September 9- Proposal presentation
  • Sept 11 to 18- Research and order parts
  • Sept 19 to Nov 29- Work on designing, building,
debugging and improving the overall project
  • Nov 29 to Dec 7- Work on the report
  • Dec 8- Final presentation
