Welcome to EGB Clipboard
  • EGP Clipboard is a companion product of Easy
    Grade Pro that runs on the Palm OS handheld
    devices. EGP Clipboard can be a great tool for
    you! With EGP Clipboard you can
  • View and enter student scores, notes on your
    handheld.
  • Transfer data seamlessly between your Easy Grade
    Pro gradebook and your handheld.
  • Use your handheld to keep better track of
    yourself and your students by taking attendance
    and using codes for reminders of students who are
    unprepared, have a lesson, doctors appt. or
    visiting the nurse.
  • Have current records at your fingertips which
    include individual grades, a list of a students
    work either missing or complete for parent
    conferences, meetings with guidance or special
    education teachers.
  • Most importantly, no more long hours entering
    grades at the end of the quarter because yet
    again, you did not have time to enter them on a
    weekly basis during quarter.
  • Once you use it, you will wonder what life was
    like without it!

Getting Started
Two Items that are a must 1- Easy Grade Pro must
be on your computer and a gradebook must be
established. 2- Easy Grade Pro Clipboard must be
installed on your computer in order for the Palm
setup to take place. Installation is fairly easy
and a copy of the EGP Clipboard manual can be
downloaded at http//www.orbissoft.com/download.ht

Activating your Palm Gradebook
Step 1- To begin set up for your palm, go to the
file menu and click on palm setup. Step 2- Click
on the box that says turn on syncing for this
gradebook. Step 3- Highlight the classes you wish
synced. Be advised that you can only sync one
quarter or term at a time. Step 4- Click on the
assignments and attendance boxes if you wish the
items included. Be advise that you need to have
the calendar dates already set for the term in
EGP before you can use the attendance
feature. Step 5- Click done when you are
finished.

Activating your Palm Gradebook Cont.
Step 6- the next time you sync up your palm it
will download information. Step 7- You should now
see the EGP clipboard icon in the main menu of
your palm. Click on it and type the the 17 digit
code in order to activate the program. Your
gradebook will now appear on your palm screen.
  • Please Note-
  • Syncing will not work if Easy Grade Pro and EGP
    clipboard are not installed on the computer being
    used.
  • Only one gradebook can work at a time per
    computerMeaning that you cannot have more than
    one gradebook synced with the same handheld Palm.
  • It is also recommended to use only one handheld
    per gradebook.

EGP Clipboard Quick Reference Guide
Item Menu Depending on the view, use this menu to
switch student, assignments or attendance dates.
Score Note To view or add a note, select a cell
and click the Score Note tool. A small square or
notebook page indicates the note.
Scrolling Use this bar to scroll through list
items. It is generally easier to use the scroll
buttons.
Class Menu To switch to any class in the
gradebook, press on this menu.
EGP Clipboard With PalmOS 3.5 click on this
title to open the menu bar.
Record Numbers These numbers always match the
student and assignment record.
Score Footnote To add a footnote, press in the
left part of a score cell and select the note
from the menu that pops up.
Switching Views Press on the record numbers to
switch between the One Student and the Multiple
Students views.
Quick Grades Click these to apply or change
pre-coded grades, special scores, or attendance
marks to a cell.
Viewing Records To view the records for a student
or assignment, click on the name.
Show/Hide Grade Clicks Press on this menu to show
or hide the rows of grades and special scores
above the tool bar.
Find Tool To find all occurrences of a student in
a gradebook.
Quitting EGP Click to quit EGP clipboard click
the Applications button
Scroll Buttons Use these to scroll through the
chart and menus.
Main Menu To access the main menu, click here.

Quick Grade Tips! - Create short cuts for
yourself!
Step 1- Go to file and class options under the
file menu to create short cuts for your palm.

Attendance Short Cuts
Step 2- Select the tab you wish to update.
Step 3- Make changes and put codes in to help
make your attendance easier.

Grading Short Cuts
Step 4- Follow the same procedure for coming up
with short cuts for grades.
For example The code Inc could be made one click
for incomplete and make the point spread only
half.

Step 5- These items should now appear in your
quick grade menu. If not, then use the arrow
button and click on the item that says show codes.
Step 6- Click on the students name you wish to
enter and then click on the appropriate code. For
footnote codes, click on the left hand side of
the score box. These can be used as reminders to
you.
