Justification of the Project
  • Lack of working opportunities in the area
  • Inactivity/unemployment is high among women,
    employment of minorities is very low
  • Majority of inactive/unemployed women are
    under-qualified
  • Due to family duties (looking after children)
    cannot commute

Aim of the Project
  • Overall aim Improving the employability of women
    living in the area and ensuring their work
    placement
  • Concrete aim The training of disadvantaged women
    living in Korlát, Vizsoly, Fony and
    Boldogkoújfalu to become flower-binders and dry
    flower growers and their employment by Phralipe
    in Korlát.

Target Group of the Project
  • Inactive women (middle aged, mainly over 40)
    living in small settlements 70 Km from Miskolc
    (Korlát, Vizsoly, Fony és Boldogkoújfalu) with
    1-3 children, mainly single mothers
  • There are 120 unemployed/inactive living in the
    4 settlements. 86 of them receive social
    allowence
  • The majority of them only finished max. primary
    school, minority are skilled workers.
  • Direct target group 15 women willing to be
    trained and to work
  • Indirect Target Group families of the 15 women

Direct Results of the Project (2006-2007)
  • 15 disadvantaged women take part in the training
  • 15 disadvantaged women receive mentoring and
    counselling services
  • At least 14 women finishes the training
    successfully
  • At least 6 women are employed as flower-binders
    for at lease 1 year (66 months)
