- General Objective
- Evaluate the technical feasibility, economic and
environmental remediation of a soil contaminated
with oil, by developing a methodology, so as to
reduce the HTP (total petroleum hydrocarbons). - Specific objectives
- Determine the magnitude and distribution of the
oil spill No. 6 - Identify and assess the presence of THP (total
petroleum hydrocarbons) from contaminated soil. - Select a technology for remediation of soils
contaminated with oil. - Designing a methodology for implementing the
selected technology for remediation of soil
contaminated with No. 6 oil. - Implement the selected technology, a pilot scale,
for soils contaminated with No. 6 oil.

3Results Indicators
- The performance of proposed remediation of soils
contaminated with No. 6 oil, will provide a
proposal to provide a solution and regularization
of areas contaminated with No. 6 oil, implemented
remediation techniques, and thereby reduce or
eliminate, where possible, impacts causing
environmental areas affected by oil spills.. - Provide information that will help and encourage
the development of policies and procedures for
managing contaminated sites or related subject.
