Procedures
  • Dilute 10.0 cm3 of 0.1 M KMnO4(aq) into 250 cm3
    in volumetric flask.
  • Introduce 150 cm3 of deionized water, 10 cm3
    6vol. H2O2, 50 cm3 of borate buffer and 10 cm3 of
    dil. KMnO4(aq).
  • Pipette 10.0 cm3 sample and run it into conical
    flask containing 10 cm3 dil. H2SO4(aq). Start
    the clock.
  • Titrate the 10.0 cm3 sample with KMnO4(aq).
  • Withdraw further samples after 5 mins., 10 mins.,
    15 mins., 20 mins., 25 mins. And 30 mins.
