white space around each slide!
If you extend your text into the white
space areathere is a chance of the information
being cut off on some screens.

Six/Six Rule

• Six words per line maximum
• Six lines per slide maximum

40/30 Rule

• No title less than 40 pt.
• No text less than 30 pt.

Proper Emphasis

• Bulleted lists organize information.
• Easier to read.
• Can add one point at a time.
• Use Upper and lowercase letters.
• Use color to emphasize.
• Use special effects sparingly (animation and
  sounds.)
• Be consistent with transitions.

Light Background with Dark Text
All backgrounds should be similar from slide to
slide.

BALANCE
The text and the graphic should be evenly spaced
on the slide.
OVERPOWERING ANIMATION Do not use typewriter or
screeching text!
