Summary Update The Research Administration Infrastructure Ad Hoc Committee has met for the fifth time. • The fifth meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee was

  collect faculty feedback, roles,
  responsibilities, policies, procedures, training,
  and education for research administration at UGA.
• A faculty and staff survey for research
  administration is under development. A final
  draft and consideration for focus groups will
  be completed by 12/12.
• A role/responsibility review has been initiated
  w/draft by 12/12.
• Select policies and procedures supporting
  research administration are being collected and
  catalogued.

• A thorough review of role and responsibility

• Draft 3 of a faculty and staff survey has a
  completion goal of 12/12. This next draft will
  be reviewed by the full Ad Hoc Committee and a
  discussion of focus groups will be held.
• Existing policies and procedures for high-risk
  administration and compliance areas are being
  collected these will be identified and
  validated as important focus areas through the
  matrix and survey work.
• Current educational program elements supporting
  key compliance and administration functions will
  be inventoried and reviewed by Committee
