What is Golfing?

• Golf is an outdoor sport.
• Golf is played over a field known as a course or
  link.
• The object of golfing is to advance a small,
  hard, ball over the course in as few strokes as
  possible.
• A golf course is usually 6,500 to 7,000 yards.

History of Golfing

• Historians say golf originated in Scotland around
  the 14th or 15th century.
• Golfing became extremely popular in the United
  States by the 1920s.
• There are over 12,400 golf courses in the United
  States today.
• Hawaii currently has approximately 75 golf
  courses.

Where to Golf on Oahu!

• The lovely island of Oahu has 35 golf courses.
• These courses are located on some of the most
  beautiful spots of the island.
