Stage One -Recognition

• Submission Document
• Includes
• Details of how the Unit team is meeting the
  accreditation criteria.
• PDU leaders role descriptions.
• Evidence of a reciprocal partnership with a
  Centre of Higher Education

• Process
• Document reviewed by an expert panel who either
  recommend a visit or recommend further
  development work.
• Formal Accreditation visit once recommended.
• Feedback - verbal immediately, written within
  three weeks.
• Stage One - Unit has made significant improvement
  against all of the criteria but not yet fully
  achieved them all. Time frame and action plan
  discussed for achieving full accreditation.

• Accreditation awarded for two years
• Unit demonstrates its achievement of all of the
  criteria
• Updated submission document
