• 1930 First appearance in a little film called
  Dizzy Dishes, starring Bimbo the Dog.
• First created as a dog character by Grim Natwick.
• Initially was the nameless girlfriend of Bimbo
  the Dog.
• 1932 Betty became completely human and the long
  ears became earrings.
• 1939 Her last film was released.

• Considered to be the first and only female
  animated screen star who could do it all Drama,
  Musicals and Comedy.

• Betty Boop was taken off air for a while
• Her enchanting appearance was considered to be
  too seductive and inappropriate as a cartoon.
• 1960s Betty Boop cartoons were the first
  theatrical shorts to be repackaged for
  television.
• 1966 Betty Boop revisited prime-time as a 65th
  Anniversary Marathon was aired.
• More than 100 Betty Boop cartoons were produced
  including 90 in the official Betty Boop series.
