Salvation Army Icons

The red shield is perhaps the most recognizable
Salvation Army symbol and identifies The
Salvation Army around the world. Typically this
is our Icon of service.
The flag consists of a yellow star signifying the
power of the Holy Spirit a red background
representing the sacrificial blood of Christ, and
blue border for the sanctity of God and the
chosen lives of Christians.
The Armys motto, Blood and Fire are found on
the flag and crest. The intricate designs honor
the Cross, salvation, the gospel and the glory of
God.
