  • A group of service providers and advocates
    sharing one vision, mission and set of values to
    better serve Seminole families.

  • The Childrens Services Committee
  • A group of community providers who met to network
    and share ideas since 2003
  • supported the work of the Community Alliance
  • influenced the implementation of CBC and
    completed a community needs assessment
  • Assisted in the establishment of The Village
    transitional housing for youth aging out of
    foster care.
  • fostered partnerships and cooperation that led to
    the establishment of The Childrens Cabinet of
    Seminole County.

  • Based on a design from the National Governors
    Association (NGA)
  • NGA pushes innovation and policy
  • Designed to promote coordination and improve
    efficiency and strengthen partnerships
  • 16 States have a state Childrens Cabinet
  • In Seminole the Private Sector has driven the
    construction
  • In 2006 two Statewide Childrens Summits
    recommended the establishment of a Florida
    Childrens Cabinet

    being done to meet their needs.
  • Determine how you as an individual or as part of
    a group can support programs that are addressing
    the issues and are meeting the needs.
  • Participate with the Childrens Cabinet as a
    partner or a member to share data and ideas.
  • Educate community leaders on Childrens Issues
    and what the Cabinet is doing to address those
    issues.
  • Represent your county with the most current,
    viable information when making decisions that
    affect our daily lives.
