About the Convention
In December 1990, the GA adopted the
International Convention on the Protection of the
Rights of All Migrant Workers and members of
Their Families and it was opened for signature by
all Member States.

  • The Convention entered into force on 1 July 2003

  • 32 States are party to the Convention as of 14
    September 2005

Article 2, Para. 1

been engaged in a remunerated activity in a State
of which he or she is not a national
