  • Rad Health Mobile Command/Lab replacement project
    status
  • The Mobile Radiation Laboratory, primarily tasked
    to respond to nuclear power plant accidents and
    exercises, was a 1986 vintage truck damaged by
    flooding and removed from service (safety hazard)
    in August 2004.
  • Replacement of the vehicle as well as
    communications, sampling and analysis equipment
    is in progress. The project is funded primarily
    through the CDC BT Grant, with a pending
    contribution from Dominion to fill the gap.
    Completion is expected by late August.
  • VOPEX Surry area, June 26EAC out of sequence
    drills no health associated FEMA findings.
