VoIP 911 Location Lookup

• Provide Location information for 911 calls
• Web display at Campus Police Dispatch

• Deferred pending an infrastructure upgrade to the

SLB Data Center Upgrade

• No change to fundamental Scope
• Electrical
• HVAC updates
• Monitoring
• Remote Management
• IP KVM installed in SLB29, Host(s) to be
  converted over to this new technology over the
  next 4-6 weeks.
• UWO (PPD/ITS) have raised a significant change
  order to reduce risk of power disruption and
  construction related damage to assets in SLB29
  during the renovation.
• This change is currently under joint ITS/PPD
  review in preparation for approval.

Web Content Management Update

• Purchased Hannon Hills Cascade Server
• Used by McMaster, Queens, New Brunswick and
  Saskatchewan
• Currently ITS, Communications Public Affairs
  and the School of Graduate Postdoctural Studies
  are using the system

Web Content Management Update

• All Western faculties and departments are welcome
  to use Cascade Server at no charge but will have
  to adhere to the standard Western templates and
  stylesheets
• Training and assistance provided by ITS

Infrastructure Updates

• TUMS June 24th

Email Outlook Connector

• Recent MS patches for Office 2007 have caused
  issues with our currently deployed version of
  the Outlook Connector (7.3.10.2).
• ITS has currently disabled automatic deployment
  of these MS patches to prevent further
  disruption.
• SUN has provided an interim release which ITS has
  tested and intends to rollout to ITS first,
  Office / Outlook 2007 users second, and finally
  all other Office / Outlook 2003 users.
• We have an audit list of 573 registered users
• Bottom Line Another upgrade is required
